Check before the installation of the POI file whether a current version of Microsoft ActiveSync (for Windows XP) or Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6 (for Windows Vista) is installed on your PC. Otherwise you have to load it from the Microsoft websites for free.
Switch on your MyGuide 3100 and connect it to the PC over the USB cable. select a "guest-partnership" connection via Microsoft ActiveSync.
Delete all files in the folder ".../My Flash Disk/MyGuide/poi/speedcam". Now copy the file SpeedCamText.txt into the same folder (the MyGuide device will re-create the deleted files in the next step).
Press Reset button and start your MyGuide 3100 (choose Navigate).
Go outside and get a GPS signal.
All of your speedcams will now be synchronised and will be available. The sat device will create the following files:
SpeedCamText.txt

SpeedcamUpdates.spud
To make sure you get audible warnings of the speedcams, make sure your sound is not muted, and also go into the following on the Sat Nav from the Main Menu Settings/General/Alerts. Go to the bottom and make sure Enable Safety Cameras is Enabled and scroll through the Audible Warning options to suit your own preference.
Now, all Cameras are installed and your MyGuide 3100 is ready for a safe trip!
